高考英語詞匯分類講解：序數(shù)詞
1.序數(shù)詞的構(gòu)成
序數(shù)詞除了開頭的三個詞(first，second，third)有獨特的形式外，其他都是在基數(shù)詞詞尾加-th構(gòu)成。
基本序數(shù)詞的構(gòu)成:
(1)1st first
2nd second
3rd third
4th fourth
5th fifth
6th sixth
7th seventh
8th eighth
9th ninth
10th tenth
(2)11th eleventh
12th twelfth
13th thirteenth
14th fourteenth
15th fifteenth
16th sixteenth

第20、30、40、50、60、70、80、90是將基數(shù)詞詞尾-y改為-i加-eth構(gòu)成。如thirtieth，seventieth。
其他序數(shù)詞由以上基本序數(shù)詞構(gòu)成。僅把個位數(shù)變成序數(shù)詞，十位數(shù)不變。如twenty-first，twenty-second，twenty-third，twenty-fourth，twenty-fifth等。
序數(shù)詞的縮寫形式是在數(shù)字后直接加上序數(shù)詞最后兩個字母構(gòu)成。如1st，2nd，3rd，4th，21st，22nd，34th等。
100以上的序數(shù)詞的表示法如下：
第100為100th(讀作one hundredth)，第101為101st(讀作one hundred and first)其他的情況類推。

序數(shù)詞在句中可作主語、表語、賓語、定語等。
The second was a tall man.(主語)
第二個人是高個男子。
I am the second to invite you. (表語)
我是第二個邀請你的。
Do you prefer the first or the second?(賓語)
