tough含義較多，其主要用法有：
1. 指身體“強(qiáng)壯的”、“結(jié)實(shí)的”。如：
He seems to bethe toughest of all the children. 他似乎是所有孩子中最結(jié)實(shí)的。
2. 指物體“韌的”。如：
This wire is tougher thanthat. 這條鐵絲比那條要韌。
