(1) struggle (with sb) for/against... (和某人)為……而進(jìn)行的斗爭(zhēng)/(和某人)為反對(duì)……而進(jìn)行的斗爭(zhēng)
Political contests become a struggle for total power.
政治競(jìng)爭(zhēng)成了奪取全部權(quán)力的斗爭(zhēng)。
(2) struggle (with sb) to do sth(與某人)作斗爭(zhēng)去做某事
It was a hard struggle with him to make new advances, but he nerved himself to it and entered.
經(jīng)過(guò)一番激烈的思想斗爭(zhēng)，他鎮(zhèn)定下來(lái)，走了進(jìn)去。
(3) struggle between...and... 在……與……間斗爭(zhēng)
