A Notice about an Academic Lecture
At this time of the year, most students are focusing on meeting friends, taking part in social activities and preparing for the upcoming classes. But as you busy yourself with the new semester, please pause a moment to remember the famous Danish writer, Anderson, who would have celebrated his 200th birthday today.
In commemoration of this great man's life, the Reading Club has invited a wellknown professor from Peking University to give a lecture about some of Anderson's unpublished memoirs. The lecture will start at 2:00 pm in Multimedia Classroom 401 in the Ranran Shaw Building.
Such an academic lecture might not seem like the most appealing way to spend a Friday evening, but it promises to be an evening that will both entertain and inform students of Danish fairvtales. (131 words)
