Ⅰ.real 指客觀上存在，并非想象和虛構(gòu)的，它是與“無”相對(duì)而言的。如：
① This is a story of real life. 這是一個(gè)從真實(shí)生活中取材的故事。
② This is a real diamond.這是一顆真正的鉆石。
Ⅱ. true 指符合某一標(biāo)準(zhǔn)或?qū)嶋H情況的，強(qiáng)調(diào)真實(shí)性。如：
① True love should last for ever. 真愛永不渝。
② Is it true that you’re going abroad for your holidays? 你要到國外去度假是真的嗎?
[注]：come true “(夢(mèng)想)實(shí)現(xiàn)”不用real.
genuine [`dЗenju:in]指沒有摻假的，貨真價(jià)實(shí)的，強(qiáng)調(diào)純真度。如：
Is the bracelet[`breislit] genuine gold? 這手鐲是真金的嗎?
