    1.…but I forgot to take them with me.……但是我忘了拿走。
    forget to do sth.表示“忘了做某事”,them指兩本字典。
    2.put it on,戴上它。
    這里的 it指 a hat,以避免重復。 put on是“戴上”、“穿上”的意思。如果它的賓語是一個名詞,這個名詞可放在 put on之后,也可放在put和on之間。如果是代詞,就必須放在put和on 之間。如:
    Put on your coat./Put your coat on.
    穿上外衣。
    但只能說:
    Put it on.
    把它穿上。
    語法 Grammar in use
    定語從句
    定語從句像形容詞一樣起修飾作用,但位于所修飾的名詞之后。定語從句由關系代詞引導,緊跟在它所修飾的成分后面。關系代詞 who,whom與 that修飾人,which與 that修飾東西。關系代詞指代從句的主語或賓語,同時又充當連接詞,把從句和主句連接起來。請看例句:
    (1)
    關系代詞作從句的主語(who/which/that):
    The dog which/that is carrying the basket is mine.
    叼著籃子的那只狗是我的。
    He's the porter who/that carried my suitcase.
    他就是那個扛著我的衣箱的搬運工。
    (2)關系代詞作從句的賓語(whom/that/which):
    They're the windows which/that the children broke yesterday.
    這些就是孩子們昨天打碎的窗戶。
    She's the lady whom I served yesterday.
    她就是我昨天服務過的那位女士。

    2.serve v.
    (1)服務;接待;侍候:
    Are you being served, sir?
    先生,有人為您服務嗎?
    A young waiter served them.
    一位年輕的侍者侍候他們進餐。
    (2)供應;擺出(食物或飲料等):
    What time is breakfast served in this hotel?
    這個飯店里什么時候供應早餐?
    Serve it to the ladies first.
    把它先端給女士們。
    (3)為……服務/服役;任職:
    The old cook has served the family for 30 years.
    這位老廚師已為這家干了30年了。
    He began to serve in the Navy in 1960.
