本文語法:直接引語和間接引語
語法歸納:直接引語就是直接引用別人的話,并把它放在引號內(nèi);間接引語就是用自己的話轉(zhuǎn) 述別人的話,不加引號。直接引語變間接引語時需要注意相應人稱、時態(tài)變化。
1)陳述句變化:常用say/tell+that連接
直接引語:“I never do anything on Sundays,” he said.他說:“我星期日什么事都不做?!? 間接引語:He said that he never did anything on Sundays.
2)—般疑問句變化:常用whether/if連接
直接引語:My mother said to me,“Are you hungry?” 母親對我說:“你俄嗎?”
間接引語:My mother asked me whether I was hungry.
3)特殊疑問句變化:常用疑問代詞或疑問副詞連接
直接引語:The teacher asked,”Who will give this boy a help?”老師問道:“誰愿意幫助這個男孩?”
間接引語:The teacher asked who would give this boy a help.

1.The secretary told me that Mr. Harmsworth would see me.
秘書告訴我說哈姆斯沃斯先生要見我。
語言點1 此句told me that為典型的間接引語表達形式。
My manager told me that business was quite good.我的經(jīng)理告訴我生意好極了。
語言點2 told me that..., that后為告訴我的內(nèi)容,為賓語從句,間接賓語。
2.I felt very nervous when I went into his office.
我走進他的辦公室時感到非常緊張。
語言點1 比較學習:nervous指對正在發(fā)生的事感到緊張;worry指對將要發(fā)生的事情感到擔心。
語言點2 felt是feel的過去式,feel為半連系動詞,后常加形容詞作表語,如: feel angry感到生氣;feel hot感到熱;fal tired感到累
常用的半系動詞:feel, get, taste, smell, sound, turn, seem 等。例如:sound good聽起來不嫌;taste sweet嘗起來甜;smell terrible聞起來惡心
語言點3 比較學習:office辦公室(上班的工作地點);study書房(家里的一間房)

語言點1 1) look up向上看,抬頭;2)look down向下看,低頭;3 ) look up and down上下打量,瞧不起
語言點2 比較學習:desk桌子,指辦公桌或?qū)懽肿?table桌子,飯桌或麻將桌。
4.After I had sat down, he said that business was very bad.
在我坐下后,他告訴我生意不太景氣。
語言點1 此句中after引導時間狀語從句。had sat down是過去的過去發(fā)生的動作,用過去完成時。
語言點2 主句he said that..,變成直接引語為:he said,“Business is very bad.”
5.He told me that the firm could not afford to pay such large salaries.
他告訴我說,公司現(xiàn)在無力支付這么巨額的工資。
語言點1 此句中包含典型的間接引語,that引導的間接引語為賓語從句。'
語言點2 pay such large salaries = pay such high salaries 支付如此巨額的工資
6.Twenty people had already left.
有20個人已經(jīng)被迫離開了公司。
語言點 already意為“已經(jīng)”,該詞經(jīng)常與完成時態(tài)連用,強調(diào)結果:Have you finished your composition already?你已經(jīng)完成作文了嗎?
7.I knew that my turn had come.
我這時明白下一個該輪到我了。
語言點 turn在此為名詞。對比:
1)(口語)Ifs my turn. = I am the next one.該輪到我了。
2)(書面)My turn has come.= My chance / opportunity has come.該輪到我了。
8.‘Mr. Harmsworth,' I said in a weak voice.

語言點 in a weak voice用微弱的聲音(由于心虛或虛弱);in a whisper小聲說話,耳語;in a strcmg voice用有力的聲音;loud voice高聲;low voice低聲

語言點 Don’t...結構為祈使句,經(jīng)常表示一種命令:Don’t look at me.別看著我! Don’t cry.不準哭! Don’t say no.別說不!

語言點1 receive表示客觀上收到,在此并不是馬上給錢,只是個口頭。
