Lesson 69 Talking about Car
    第69課 談?wù)撈?BR>    A:China should need more cars.
C:However, cars bring us noise and pollution. Environment experts have suggested time and time again we should have fewer cars.
B:Yes,that's true. But cars will contribute to the construction of our country. The USA, the richest country in the world, is called “the nation on wheels”. But do you know that its prosperity owes a great debt to Henry Ford?
A:Besides, some other countries that were at the same starting point with China after World War 11, say, Japan and South Korea, rely on their automobile industry. They have TOYOTA and CROWN.to name a few brands you can often see on highways in almost every corner of developed countries.
C:Don't you think it's foolish to wish that one day everyone in China has a car? This is impossible and unnecessary. Think of the population and the area of China. Imagine what a transport mess it would make.
A:I don't mean that everyone in China has a car. What I mean is that more cars should be encouraged in China.
B:Also, I believe, with more office buildings and downtown space, cars may help people move to suburban areas.
C:However, natural resources are declining. In this sense,we should reduce the number of cars. I just hope we will have fewer cars and then this world will be safer, cleaner and more beautiful.
