    1.get up,站起來。
    這一短語還可表示“起床”。
    2.be afraid that,想,恐怕;be sure that, 想,認為。
    這兩個結構后面通常接從句,在口語中有時that可省略。
    語法 Grammar in use
    1.賓語從句(1)
    賓語從句在句中作賓語,一般用that引導,但在口語中經(jīng)常省略掉 that.
    可用在 say, think, believe, hope, know, understand, suppose 等動詞之后:
    She says that she is cold.
    她說她冷。
    He thinks that he needs an X-ray.
    他認為他需要拍個X片。
    I know that I can repair this car.
    我知道我能修理這部車。
    They believe that they will have more money.
    他們認為他們會有更多的錢。
    可用在某些描寫感情的形容詞之后,如 afraid, sure, sorry,glad等:
    I am sure that you need an X-ray.
    我覺得你需要拍個X片。
    I am sorry that you are ill.
    聽到你生病了我很難過。
    2.間接引述時的時態(tài)
    如果間接引語中的引述動詞是現(xiàn)在時,那么其后的時態(tài)通常與原來口頭陳述句的時態(tài)相同。轉述剛剛說完的話時通常皆如此。

    1.slip v.
    (1)滑倒:
    She slipped and fell down on the wet stones.
    她腳下滑了一下,跌倒在潮濕的石頭上。
    (2)滑落;脫落:
    The soap slipped out of her hand.
    肥皂從她的手中滑落。
    (3)下滑;下跌:
    Profits continue to slip this year.
    利潤今年呈持續(xù)下跌趨勢。
    (4)遺忘;忽略:
    Our wedding anniversary completely slipped my mind.
    我把我們的結婚紀念日忘得一干二凈。
    2.hurt v.
    (1)弄痛;使受傷:
    Have you hurt yourself?
    你傷著自己了嗎?
    He fell off the bicycle and hurt his leg.
    他從自行車上摔下來,摔傷了一條腿。
    (2)危害;損害:
    That case has hurt his reputation.
    那個案件損害了他的聲譽。
    I don't mean to hurt you.
    我本無意傷害你的感情。
    3.help v.
    (1)幫助;援助;救助:
    He devoted his life to helping the disabled.
    他付出一生的心血去幫助那些殘疾人。
    Would you help me to lift this box?
    你能否幫我抬一下這只箱子?
    (2)對……有幫助;對……有好處:
    My knowledge of French helped me a lot while I was travelling in France.
    我在法國旅行時,我的法文知識幫了我大忙。
    Humour can help in a tense situation.
    幽默能夠緩和緊張局面。
