B: I don't know. I had to give up my hope of being a mathematician. My college days are over and I have to be realistic about myself.

A: What is that?

B: My grades in math weren't high enough. I couldn't live up to the goals my parents set for me.
B：我的數(shù)學(xué)考分不夠高，達(dá)不到我父母曾給我定下的目標(biāo)。
A: You did well in college. I don't think you let your parents down.
A：你在大學(xué)期間學(xué)的不錯(cuò)，我認(rèn)為你沒有讓你父母失望。
B: Perhaps.I wish they could tell me to my face how they really feel.
B：也許吧。我希望他們能對(duì)我當(dāng)面談?wù)勊麄兊恼鎸?shí)想法。
A: Why don't you tell them what you'd like to be?

B: Perhaps I will. I used to want to be a teacher. I think my parents would like that.

B: Yes,you are right.
