教學(xué)目標(biāo): 1. 學(xué)生能聽懂、會說兩個關(guān)動物的生詞：giraffe，deer。2. 能運用形容詞tall和short對人或動物進(jìn)行恰當(dāng)?shù)拿枋觥?. 能聽懂會說兩句常用語Yeah! You’re right.4. 學(xué)生感受學(xué)習(xí)英語帶來的成功和快樂，學(xué)習(xí)英語的興趣得到提高。
教學(xué)重難點：
1、重點：掌握四個句子：The giraffe is tall. The deer is short. You’re tall. I’m short.
2、難點：能運用所學(xué)的詞句描述人或動物。

（1）通過比較圖片中的giraffe 和deer，引出句子The giraffe is tall. The deer is short.。
（2）引導(dǎo)學(xué)生用The…… is tall. The…… is short.來比較課件出示的動物。
（3）通過Let’s chant來鞏固所學(xué)的句子。
The giraffe is tall , the monkey is short!
The monkey is tall , the deer is short!
The deer is tall, the dog is short!
The dog is tall, the cat is short!
3、新授句子You’re tall. I’m short.
(1)將自己與學(xué)生比較，對學(xué)生說：I’m tall. You’re short.幫助學(xué)生說：I’m short, you’re tall.
(2)同桌兩人兩兩操練
4、呈現(xiàn)動物園，請學(xué)生結(jié)合所看到的動物說說自己喜歡的動物是什么，對所喜歡的動物作簡單的描述。
5、呈現(xiàn)課文內(nèi)容。
（1） 能過錄象來展示Let’s talk 的教學(xué)內(nèi)容，
（2） 呈現(xiàn)課文插圖，請學(xué)生根據(jù)所看所想來說說課文內(nèi)容
（3） 學(xué)生聽、跟讀課文。
（4） 小組交流。
Step3: Extension/consolidation
1、學(xué)生運用所學(xué)的知識介紹動物玩具。學(xué)生說得好，用Yeah! You’re right.表揚。
2、吟唱歌曲《They are in the zoo》,在歌聲中結(jié)束教學(xué)。
