    1.all-out: (形)完全的greatest possible; complete; total
    He made an all-out effort to be the best student in his class.
    他盡的努力去成為班上的同學。
    2.aptitude:(名)才能 natural ability or skill
    The student shows a great aptitude for language; he can learn a foreign language much faster than others.
    這個學生在語言上顯出很大的才能;這學習外語的速度遠較別人快。
    3.axis: (名)軸the real or imaginary line around which something turns
    It makes 24 hours for the earth to make one rotation on its axis.
    地球繞軸一周需要二十四小時。
    4.budget: (名)預算estimate of probable future income and expenditure
    They planned a monthly budget for their family.
    他們家每月都有預算。
    5.cargo: (船、飛機等所載)貨物the load of goods carried by a ship or plane; freight
    A cargo of coal has arrived from Keelung.

    6.clergy: (名)牧師the men who serve a church as ministers or priests

    8.dodge:(名)閃避 move quickly to one side
    The man jumped aside to dodge the speeding truck.

    9.grinl smile broadly (showing one’s teeth)(動)露齒而笑
    The boy grinned with pleasure when I give him candy.

    10.headquarters:(名)總部 any center from which orders are issued
    The policeman was ordered to report to the police headquarters.

    11.retort: (動)反駁answer quickly in a sharp or clever way
    “Your question is not worth answering,” he retorted.

    12.textile:(名)織物 cloth made by weaving
    We need to produce more textiles, especially silk and cotton.

    13.thigh:(名)大腿;股 the upper part of the leg above the knee
    The fisherman’s boots came up to his thighs.
