唐裝(Tang suit)廣義上是指西式裁剪的滿(mǎn)族(Manchu)服飾，而不是唐朝的服裝。它吸取了滿(mǎn)清服飾的款式和面料，同時(shí)采用了西方服裝的立體式剪裁 (three-dimensional cutting)。國(guó)內(nèi)所稱(chēng)的“唐裝”，基本上是清末的中式著裝。唐裝其實(shí)是中式服裝的統(tǒng)稱(chēng)，這主要是因?yàn)閲?guó)外都稱(chēng)華人居住的地方為“唐人街”，那 “唐人”穿的衣服自然就應(yīng)該叫“唐裝”了。另外，國(guó)外的一些華人也稱(chēng)中式服裝為 “唐裝”，所以唐裝的取名頗有國(guó)際化的味道。
