Traffic safety is everybody’s business. Records show that every year a lot of people die in traffic accidents. Some of the accidents are due to mechanical problems. They drive regardless of speed limits, run through red l ights, drive in the wrong direction, talk and laugh or make phones or send messages or smoke while driving, and turn as they wish without giving signals. Only when everybody realizes traffic safety is everybody’s business can we be safe driving on roads and walking on sidewalks.

Many people die in traffic accidents every year, most of which can be avoided if people obey the traffic rules. To avoid traffic accidents, we must keep in mind the following traffic rules.
First, remember that you must ride on the right and make a gesture when you want to make a turn or stop at a place. Second, never try to cross the road or turn left when the light is red, for you may be knocked over by a car if you don’t follow the rules. While crossing the road, you must make sure it’s safe enough and you can’t be too careful. When you see an old person or a child crossing the street, go and give him or her a hand.
