In addition, it is an environmentally responsible practice. By reusing existing buildings, historic preservation is essentially a recycling program of “historic” proportions.(建筑環(huán)境)
While some people argue that there are places covered with messy and unordered old buildings. For example, the central district of Beijing is filled with a large number of shabby houses, which actually bring inconvenience to some people.(讓步)
Viewed from this angle, what we should endeavor to do is to cherish and protect only those which carry essential information of the history of one city, or which are able to recall precious memories for the local citizens, instead of those which are merely called old.(最終觀點(diǎn)即句式)
