場(chǎng)景特色詞匯的特征和作用
    在高考聽(tīng)力試題中,基本上每次都會(huì)有一些問(wèn)及對(duì)話(huà)發(fā)生的地點(diǎn)、對(duì)話(huà)者的職業(yè)或者對(duì)話(huà)者之間關(guān)系的試題。怎樣才能做好這類(lèi)題呢?基本的辦法就是把握對(duì)話(huà)中的場(chǎng)景特色詞匯。所謂場(chǎng)景特色詞匯是指在這類(lèi)試題中能反映某種場(chǎng)所(環(huán)境)特征或職業(yè)特征的詞匯。
    【例】
    M: Could you tell me the departure time of this flight?
    W: Certainly, the flight takes off at 2 p. m.
    Q: Where does the conversation take place?
    【例26】
    W: You were absent from class yesterday, Tom. Where were you?
    M: I couldnt come, Mrs. Smith. I hurt my foot and my father took me to the doctors.
    Q: What is the probable relationship between the two speakers?
    【例27】
    W: The music and the flowers are lovely.
    M: Yes, I hope that the food is good, too.
    Q: Where does this conversation most probably take place?
    【例28】
    W: Can I help you, sir?
    M: Yes. Do you have this coat in a larger size?
    Q: What is the woman?
    我們根據(jù)例25對(duì)話(huà)中出現(xiàn)的departure time(起飛時(shí)間)雖然超綱,但是flight(飛機(jī)),takes off(起飛)這些反映機(jī)場(chǎng)特征的詞匯可以判定該對(duì)話(huà)發(fā)生在機(jī)場(chǎng), 對(duì)話(huà)者為旅客和機(jī)場(chǎng)服務(wù)人員。例26的對(duì)話(huà)者是老師和學(xué)生,其中的關(guān)鍵詞是absent from class(缺課)。例27的對(duì)話(huà)場(chǎng)所是餐館,判斷的依據(jù)是關(guān)鍵詞food。盡管對(duì)話(huà)中還出現(xiàn)了music和判斷的依據(jù)是關(guān)鍵詞flowers,但也不可能是在花店或音樂(lè)廳。因?yàn)椴宛^中會(huì)有花和音樂(lè),而花店與音樂(lè)廳不可能與food有關(guān)。在例28的對(duì)話(huà)中,根據(jù) Can I help you (服務(wù)用語(yǔ))和男方回答中出現(xiàn)的coat,可以判定女方的職業(yè)是售貨員(salesgirl).
