I’ve been invited to a party tonight at Green’s house. I still haven’t got ant idea what I should take.
我已受邀請參加格林家今晚的宴會?？傻浆F(xiàn)在我還不知道該帶什么。
If you really want to take something, some small things will be enough.
如果你的確要帶的話，帶些小東西就足夠了。
They usually hold parties and eat turkeys.
他們通常會舉行聚會并吃火雞。
Just as important as your Chinese New Year. We all have festival at that time. Family members usually get together and have a big dinner.
就跟你們中國的新年一樣重要。我們那時都過節(jié)。家里人都會聚在一起大吃一餐。
Actually it is religious festival to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
實際上是宗教節(jié)日，慶祝耶穌誕生。
We used to have a party and give a lot of performance.
那天我們有一個聚會，并且進行許多表演。
Today is the Halloween day. The kids are going trick-or-treating.
今天是萬圣節(jié)前夕。孩子們在玩“招待還是惡作劇”的游戲。
Those are lanterns made out of fresh pumpkins with a candle burning inside.
那是用新鮮南瓜做的燈籠，里面點著蠟燭。
Today I saw some in the street with carved faces on them. Are they all made by children?
今天在街上我看到一些這樣的燈籠，上面刻著臉譜。都是孩子們做的嗎？
I mean what’s an appropriate gift?
我是指帶什么禮物去合適？
It’s absolutely unnecessary to take anything.
這絕對沒什么必要。
Really? But I couldn’t go empty-handed.
真的嗎？可我總不能空著手去吧。
Something from your country will be better.
一些你們國家的小東西。
I see what you mean. How about taking Chinese snacks?
