Well,I seldom eat out,but one restaurantimpressed me deeply. It was several years ago whenI was in Beijing. A friend of mine invited me to havedinner at the old Peking Noodle Restaurant,whichfaithfully carries on the old eating customs from ahundred year ago. Diners all sit around square tableswhich are painted dark red and the waiters (nowaitresses can be found there) wear traditionalcostumes with white towels on the shoulders. Thefood they serve there is said to be genuine old Peking snacks that aren't available elsewhere.
嗯,我很少去飯館吃飯,但是有一個餐廳給我留下很深的印象。是幾年前我 在北京的時候,我的一個朋友請我去老北京面館吃飯,那里如實地繼承了一百年前的老式飲食風(fēng)俗。食客們都圍著方桌坐成一圈,桌子被漆成深紅色,男服務(wù)員(那里沒有女服務(wù)員)穿著傳統(tǒng)的裝束,肩膀上還搭著白毛巾。那里的食物據(jù)說是別的地方?jīng)]有的真正的老北京小吃。

Sometimes people go out eating just for a gettogether. They usually find a favourite restaurantand chat there. Or, as is growing more popular, many people go to restaurant for traditionalfamily reunion dinners on New Year's Eve,known as nianyefan. And sometimes people go outeating simply for improving the relationship between business partners?
有時人們就是為了聚會而去飯館吃飯。他們通常會找一家最喜歡的飯館吃飯聊天?;蛘撸絹碓搅餍械?,很多人為了除夕夜傳統(tǒng)的合家團(tuán)圓飯而去飯館,這就是所謂的 “年夜飯”。有的時候人們?nèi)ワ堭^吃飯只是簡單地為了增進(jìn)商業(yè)伙伴之間的關(guān)系。

10. 你通常都在什么時候出去吃飯呢?
Generally speaking,I usually eat out a lot. You know,I usually feel so tired that don't feel likedoing anything after studying for the whole day. So I usually run into McDonald or KFC to graba quick bite and then drag myself home to get some sleep. But it is certainly not the thing thathappens every day. As I am only a student, there is no way for me to splash money about byeating out everyday. So I would say it really depends. It depends on whether I have enoughpocket money or not?
一般來說,我通常都出去吃飯。在完成一整天的學(xué)習(xí)之后,我經(jīng)常都覺得筋疲力盡,什么也不想做了。因此我 經(jīng)常都會去麥當(dāng)勞或者肯德基來頓快餐,然后拖著疲憊的身體回家睡覺。但也并不是每天都這樣的。由于我現(xiàn)在還是個學(xué)生,這也就意味著我不可能每天都在外面吃,所以要視情況而定。這就取決于我是否有零花錢了。
11. Who would prefer to eat out more,the youngsters or the elder people?

Talking about this question,youngsters are definitely the demographic who are more likely toeat out. They are always popping into nice restaurants, ordering expensive food while catchingup with their friends. But it would turn out to become totally another picture when it comes tothe elder people. They tend to stay at home,cooking on their own.
談到這個問題,從統(tǒng)計數(shù)字來看,年輕人顯然更喜歡去外面吃。他們總是出現(xiàn)在一些漂亮的飯店,點(diǎn)最貴的食物來招待他們的朋友。但是如果是老年人的話,就完全是另一番景象了。他們趨向于待在家里,自己做飯吃。
