Lucy: Mum, there isn't any sugar in the house. 媽媽，家里沒(méi)糖了。
Karen: I know. I must go to the supermarket. Let's make a shopping list 我知道，我們得去趟超市。我們來(lái)制作一個(gè)購(gòu)物清單吧。
Lucy: Ok. How much sugar do we need? 好的，我們要買多少糖？
Karen: Two bags. 兩包。
Lucy: Two bags of sugar…. We need some tea, too, Mum. There isn’t much tea in the tin. 兩包糖，我們還要賣茶，媽媽，罐子里沒(méi)茶葉了 。
Karen: Let’s get four packets. 我們買4包茶。
Lucy: Four packets of tea...What about food for the weekend, Mum? 四包茶，我們買什么食物來(lái)周末吃，媽媽？
Karen: We need a loaf of bread, some meat for Sunday lunch, and some vegetables, too. What vegetables do we want, Lucy? 我們要一條面包，還要為周日的午餐買點(diǎn)肉和蔬菜，你想吃什么蔬菜，露西？ Lucy: One loaf of bread, a piece of meat, some vegetables…Mum, these things are all really boring. What about some nice things for the weekend? 一條面包，一塊肉，一些蔬菜，媽媽，這些蔬菜真的太沒(méi)意思了，我們?yōu)橹苣┵I點(diǎn)好的吧？
Karen: What kind of things? 什么算好的？
Lucy: Well, chocolate,and icecream, perhaps… 嗯，買點(diǎn)巧克力和冰激凌吧？ Karen: You’re right. Let’s get a box of chocolates. Some ice cream for you and the boys, and a bottle of wine for me and your father! 你說(shuō)的對(duì)，那我們給你和兄弟們買一盒巧克力和一些冰激凌，然后再給我和你爸爸賣罐啤酒。
