I'm not a very good cook but I decided to surprise my wife by making a three-course meal. 我不擅長(zhǎng)廚藝，但我決定做個(gè)三道菜的晚餐，給老婆一個(gè)驚喜。 I went to the supermarket to get the dessert, and I stopped by the farmer's market to get some fresh vegetables, my ingredients for the salad. 我去超級(jí)市場(chǎng)買的甜點(diǎn)，又到農(nóng)貿(mào)市場(chǎng)買了些新鮮的蔬菜，用來做沙拉。 The meal would start with a salad. 我首先做沙拉。 I washed the vegetables in the sink, chopped them up, and mixed them in a bowl with a light dressing. 我在水槽中洗好菜，削好了，然后放在碗里澆上一層薄薄的沙拉醬。 That was pretty easy. 作起來并不難嗎 The next course was going to be more difficult. 下個(gè)菜就要難多了。 The main dish would be salmon. 主菜是鮭魚。 I put the oil and the fish in the pan, but it was difficult to know when it was done, not underdone or overcooked. 我在平底鍋中放上油然后將魚放進(jìn)去，但發(fā)現(xiàn)火候很難把握，既不能太生了，也不能太老了。 The last part of the meal would be the dessert. 最后一道菜是甜點(diǎn)。 I decided to buy a small chocolate cake. 我決定買個(gè)小的巧克力蛋糕。 The meal turned out pretty well and my wife enjoyed it. 晚餐做得很成功，我老婆很喜歡。 After dinner, we went into the kitchen and saw all of the dirty dishes that needed washing. 飯后，我們走進(jìn)廚房看到有那么多碗碟需要洗。 I realized that cooking isn't the hard part, it's the cleaning up! 我認(rèn)識(shí)到做飯不是最麻煩的事，洗碗才是呢。
