【On the phone 在電話上】
與phone搭配的動詞包括answer, speak on ,talk on。要注意phone之前要有定冠詞the?！敖勇犽娫挕笔莂nswer the phone，絕不可誤用receive, speak/talk on the phone是“在電話中講話”。而“你的電話”在英文里絕非your telephone，應(yīng)說It's for you或You are wanted on the phone。
A: Janet, you are wanted on the phone.
珍妮特，你的電話。
B: I'm sorry. I Just can't answer the phone right now.
抱歉，我現(xiàn)在沒有空接電話。
