春節(jié)，大人們都會事先打掃好房子，所謂”除舊迎新“，并且還會買雞鴨鵝豬肉年糕等來祭拜神明、天地公。這也是中國上下幾千年一直不變的傳統(tǒng)和風(fēng)俗。
在春節(jié)里，每個人都要穿上新衣新鞋，新年一片新。來到小鎮(zhèn)上，到處都是一片喜慶的紅色，家家戶戶都放起了鞭炮，而且東家放完鞭炮西家又開始接著放，永不間斷；一到晚上，每家無論在哪里都會亮起燈來，還有人會在家門前放起煙花，天空上也不再孤獨(dú)。
新年，還有另外一個主題，那便是“團(tuán)圓”，那些離鄉(xiāng)外出打工的潮州人非特殊情況一定都會趕回鄉(xiāng)里，在除夕夜里一起吃一頓最豐盛最棒的團(tuán)圓飯，飯后，也則是我們小孩最期待的環(huán)節(jié)，因?yàn)槟菚r候比我們大一輩的家人總會給我們小孩子分發(fā)“壓歲錢”。
新年了，父母總會再三叮囑我們，千萬不能說不吉利的話，不能說臟話。于是好奇心重的我就會忍不住問一句：“為什么不能說不吉利的話??？”大人解釋道，如果說了不吉利的話就會一年都不順利，而且那天如果你掃地的話還會把一切好運(yùn)一起掃走，所以也不能掃地……所以我并不是很喜歡春節(jié)，因?yàn)榇汗?jié)的禁忌不是一般的多，還要一個一個的遵守，萬一忘記了豈不是糟糕了？
接著，我們總會跟著大人們挨家挨戶地去拜訪親戚朋友，這時我們會帶上紅包，帶上柑橘；并且祝賀對方新年快樂，然后他們也總會給我們紅包，這對于我們這些小孩來說也是一種抵擋不住的誘惑，也不懂的拒絕，直接伸手就拿，有時還會忘記道謝。
這就是我們潮州人的春節(jié)，簡單而又有意義。
