一群小鴨頂破蛋殼，來到人間。
最后一只小鴨也頂破了蛋殼，但是他長得好奇怪，

丑小鴨受盡了同伴的嘲弄，心里十分不爽，決定離家出走。
丑小鴨開始了自己一個人的旅行，
天黑前，他到了一個農(nóng)戶家，農(nóng)婦收留了他。
但是這家的貓和雞合伙欺負(fù)他，
丑小鴨只好又逃了出來。
丑小鴨感覺很累，他覺得沒人愿意接納自己，他傷心極了。
他繼續(xù)走，來到了湖邊，
他看到了正在湖里休息的白天鵝。
“他們好漂亮啊，真讓人羨慕?！?BR> 丑小鴨羨慕地看著這群白天鵝。
這時，一只天鵝游了過來，對丑小鴨說：
“你也是天鵝啊，和我們一起玩吧！”
丑小鴨非常吃驚，他簡直不能相信，這是美麗的白天鵝說出
來的話。
他覺得是天鵝在嘲笑自己，傷心地低下了頭。
這時丑小鴨驚奇地發(fā)現(xiàn)了自己在湖水中的倒影，
他變成了一只潔白的天鵝，
而不是以前那只丑小鴨了！
直到這時，丑小鴨才明白，
自己根本不是什么丑小鴨，
而是一只美麗的白天鵝。
他渾身充滿了力量，
突然他覺得肩膀很癢，
他試著張開了雙臂，他發(fā)現(xiàn)自己的身體在變輕。
“哇！原來我這么棒啊，可以飛！”
丑小鴨張開翅膀，
與那只跟他說話的白天鵝一起飛到了湖水中央，
湖中的白天鵝都?xì)g迎他，
丑小鴨再也不傷心孤獨(dú)了。
他現(xiàn)在有一群好朋友，他們都有一雙會飛的美麗翅膀。

Spread Your Wings！
It’s Autumn on the sparkling，sandy shore.
Six eggs are cracking one by one.
Five little ducklings are born，
But the sixth emerges to the others’surprise.
“How big she is！”
“How funny looking！”
The wobbly sixth escapes the nest
By running to the farmhouse.
But the chickens，cats and dogs
Make comments on her strangeness.
With a heavy heart，she left the farm.
In the distance，swans leisurely swam
And the duckling heaved a great sigh，
“Oh，how I wish I could be as graceful as
them！”
As she looked up to the sky.
One of the swans called her to join
And she took a hesitant step，
When she glanced at her refl ection.
Beautiful white wings fl uttered behind her
And her long neck no longer gaeky.
With courage，she swam to the others，
No longer feeling out of place.
For though she was not a duckling，
She was a beautiful swan with grace.……
