在第七講中，您可以學(xué)習(xí)到如何詢問是否有問題以及在出現(xiàn)錯(cuò)誤后
如何道歉。您還記得嗎，我們?cè)谶@一課之前聽到的對(duì)話情景是客人
蒙納和杰克正在一家名叫金蓮花的餐館中就餐，酒店的接待員利奧
向他們兩個(gè)人推薦的這家餐館。如果我沒有記錯(cuò)的話，杰克點(diǎn)了脆
皮魚配美味姜汁，蒙納則點(diǎn)了蒜味雞，但是她要求菜里面不要放辣
椒?，F(xiàn)在就讓我們一起來聽聽餐館的服務(wù)員琴給這兩位客人端上了
什么樣的菜肴吧。
Jean: Your Crispy Fish, and…
… your Garlic Chicken and vegetables.
Mona: Oh dear.
Jean: Is there a problem?
Mona: There seems to be some mistake. I asked for no chillies. This
chicken has chillies.
Jean: Oh, yes. I see. I’m sorry. I’ll get you another one straight away.
琴: 您點(diǎn)的脆皮魚來了，這是您點(diǎn)的蒜味雞和青菜

蒙納: 噢，天哪。
Mona: Oh dear.
琴: 請(qǐng)問有什么問題嗎？
Jean: Is there a problem?
蒙納: 好像有些不對(duì)。我點(diǎn)菜的時(shí)候要求不要放辣椒，但是這
份蒜味雞里有辣椒呀。
Mona: There seems to be some mistake. I asked for no chillies. This
chicken has chillies.
琴: 噢，是這樣。非常抱歉。我立即就給您重新上一份同樣
的菜。
Jean: Oh, yes. I see. I’m sorry. I’ll get you another one straight away.
請(qǐng)注意聽琴在詢問客人是否有問題時(shí)是如何說的。
Jean: Is there a problem?
琴: 請(qǐng)問有什么問題嗎？
在同樣的情況下，她還可以這樣說: Is everything OK? 請(qǐng)問有什
么問題嗎？ 或者也可以這樣說: Is everything alright? 這兩句
英語表達(dá)的是同樣的意思。請(qǐng)注意聽并跟著重復(fù)。

接下來請(qǐng)注意聽琴是如何向蒙納表示她可以立刻改正這個(gè)錯(cuò)誤，解
決客人提出的問題。
琴: 我立即就給您重新上一份同樣的菜。
Jean: I’ll get you another one straight away.
Straight away 在這里表示的意思是“立刻，現(xiàn)在”， 還記得嗎，
在第二節(jié)的對(duì)話中，當(dāng)蒙納要求為她的房間提供一個(gè)熨斗時(shí)，利奧
是這樣說的:

Leo: I’ll see to it right away.
I will see to it right away. 我立刻就處理這件事情。短語
“ straight away” 和“ right away” 非常有用。你可以使用這
兩個(gè)短語讓客人明白你對(duì)他們提出的要求或者問題非常重視，并且
會(huì)立刻就采取相應(yīng)的行動(dòng)?，F(xiàn)在讓我們一起來練習(xí)一下，請(qǐng)注意聽
并跟著重復(fù)。

請(qǐng)注意，在英語的習(xí)慣中，為某一個(gè)錯(cuò)誤表示道歉并不意味著你已
經(jīng)承認(rèn)了自己有錯(cuò)。它只是讓客人感到你已經(jīng)注意到了客人的不愉
快。一般來說，以英語為母語的客人在出現(xiàn)類似情況時(shí)通常會(huì)認(rèn)為
服務(wù)人員應(yīng)該如此這般地表示歉意?？梢岳斫獾氖钱?dāng)錯(cuò)誤不是由你
而引發(fā)的時(shí)候，我們通常會(huì)覺得不大愿意向客人說道歉的話。那么
你不妨這樣想一想，當(dāng)你向客人說一聲對(duì)不起的時(shí)候，你是在代表
你的雇主向客人表示歉意呢。另外請(qǐng)不要忘記，當(dāng)你向客人道歉的
時(shí)候一定要看著客人的眼睛，讓客人感受到你的誠意。好，現(xiàn)在讓
我們來聽一聽當(dāng)蒙納指出她的菜里面被錯(cuò)放了辣椒之后，琴是如何
回應(yīng)的。
琴: 噢，是這樣。非常抱歉。
