What is science about?

Science is all about finding out how and why things happen in the world around you.

It's about everyday things like finding out why somebody catches a cold,how planes can fly in the air and why we need water to live.

Science can help us explain why dinosaurs are extinct now.

Science helps us understand how our world works.

In science,we find out what happens and why some things happen in our world.

One of the first things scientists do is to ask questions.

Then they try to answer the questions by looking closely at things.

A great scientist

Albert Einstein,a great scientist,told a story about his childhood.

He said his interest in science all came about one day when he was playing with a compass his father had given him.
他說他對(duì)于科學(xué)的興趣是來自于一天他玩爸爸給他的一個(gè)指南針。
The compass made him interested in science and he studied the compass carefully.
