一、問路
1.問路之前，一般應(yīng)先說句Excuse me，既可以引起對方的注意，也可以表示禮貌，意為“勞駕;打擾一下”。
2.詢問某個(gè)具體的地方：
Could you tell me how to get to the railway station?你能告訴我怎么去火車站嗎?
How do I find the museum?我怎樣才能找到博物館呢?
Do you know where the post office is?你知道郵局在哪兒嗎?
Could you direct me to the stadium?你能給我指指去體育場的路嗎?
How can I get to the Number 6 bus stop?我怎樣才能找到6路車的車站?
Is this the right way for the People’s Park?去人民公園是走這條路嗎?
3.詢問附近的某個(gè)地方：
Where is the closest cinema?最近的電*在哪兒?
Is there a grocery store around here?這附近有雜貨店嗎?
二、指路
1.指出明確的路線：
Turn right at the first crossroad/the traffic light.在第一個(gè)十字路口/紅綠燈處右轉(zhuǎn)。
Take the second turning on the left.第二個(gè)路口左轉(zhuǎn)。
Go down this street .沿著這條街往下走。
Go straight on Victory Street.沿著勝利大街直走。
Continue straight ahead for about a kilometer.繼續(xù)向前直行約一公里。
Keep going for another 100 meters.再走一百米。
2.指路時(shí)可給予必要的提示：
It’s a very busy road.那條路太堵了。
It’s a big hill.那有一個(gè)大坡。
There might be construction.那兒可能正在施工。
3.指明線路后可做進(jìn)一步確認(rèn)：
Did you get all that?你都聽明白了嗎?
Would you like to follow me? I’ll take you there.你愿意跟我一起嗎?我?guī)闳ァ?BR> Do you want me to draw you a map?用不用我給你畫張地圖?
4.不知道路線：
I’m sorry, I’m not from here.對不起，我不是本地人。
I’m afraid I can’t help you.恐怕我?guī)筒簧厦Α?BR> Sorry I don’t know the way around here.對不起，這塊兒的路我不熟。
You could ask the bus driver.你可以問問公交車司機(jī)。
[提示]
1.如果路線復(fù)雜，可以用first, then, after that, when you get to the...等詞句來進(jìn)行過渡。
2.block指“一段街區(qū)”，the next block就表示“下個(gè)路口之后的那個(gè)街區(qū)”。
3.固定搭配：
go+方向
take+路名
turn+right/left
stay on+路名+for+距離或時(shí)間
例：Stay on Route 1 for about ten minutes.沿著1號公路行進(jìn)大約10分鐘。
