How beautiful the girl is!
用法
感嘆句多以how或what引導，但在口語中，還有一些特殊的感嘆句表達形式。
1.以副詞here, there, in開頭的感嘆句。
Here comes the bus! 公共汽車來了!
There they are! 他們在那兒呢!
2.以疑問詞who開頭，表示驚奇。
Who else will read such a book! 誰還會讀這樣的書!
3.以情態(tài)動詞may開頭，表示愿望。
May you both be happy! 祝二位幸福。
May you succeed! 祝你成功!
4.否定疑問句用作感嘆句時，它的意義是肯定的;但肯定疑問句用作感嘆句在美國英語中比較常見。
Aren’t they sweet! 他們多可愛啊!
Am I hungry! 我餓極了!
5.一些短語用作感嘆句。
Dear me! 哎呀! My goodness! 噯呀!
None of your nonsense! 不要胡說了!
6.一些作表語的成分用作感嘆句。
Just my luck! 又倒霉了!
Sorry, my mistake! 對不起，是我的錯!
7.以從句表示的感嘆句。例如：
As if were my fault!好像是我的錯似的!
To think a scandal of this sort should be going on under my roof!真想不到這種丑事竟然出在我們家里!
結構
由感嘆詞what引導的感嘆句。
what修飾名詞或名詞短語，有以下兩種形式：
1. What+a(an)+(形容詞)+單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞+主語+謂語!或是：What+名詞詞組+主語+謂語!如：
What a fine day it is!
2. What+(形容詞)+可數(shù)名詞復數(shù)或不可數(shù)名詞+主語+謂語!
What kind women they are!
What nice music it is!
由How引導的感嘆句。
how用來修飾形容詞、副詞或動詞。其結構是：How+形容詞(副詞)+主語+謂語!
How hard the workers are working!
How clever the girl is!
How quickly the boy is writing!
注意：當how修飾動詞時，動詞不跟著感嘆詞提到主語之前。
How fast the runner runs!
what與how引導的感嘆句，一般情況下可以相互轉(zhuǎn)換，轉(zhuǎn)換后意義不變。(具體見下)如：
What an interesting story it is!==How interesting the story is!
what a beautiful building it is!==How beautiful the building is!
在口語中，感嘆句的主語和謂語常常省略。如：
What a nice present!(省略it is)
How disappointed!(省略she is或其它可作本句主、謂的詞語)
