The Chinese Vice Foreign Minister together with Somalia’s President have officially reopened the embassy of China in Mogadishu, Somalia’s capital.
中國外交部副部長與索馬里總統(tǒng)一同在索馬里首都摩加迪沙,正式重啟中國大使館。
The ceremony was attended by government officials, diplomats and leading figures in Somali society. Both Chinese and Somali officials see this as a great step forward to improve the bilateral ties between the two countries.
出席該儀式的有政府官員、外交官及索馬里社會的領(lǐng)軍人物。中方和索馬里官方都認(rèn)為這是改善兩國雙邊關(guān)系的偉大的一步。
Somalia was the first nation in East Africa to establish diplomatic ties with China. But the embassy was closed for 23 years since 1991, after Somalia was plunged into civil war.
索馬里是非洲東部首個同中國建交的國家。但自從1991年索馬里陷入內(nèi)戰(zhàn)后，中國大使館關(guān)閉了23年。
