Part A
1.light。
2.74/seventy-four。
That’S seventy-four degrees on the Fahrenheit scale,即華氏74度。
3.fair。 The quality of our air is fair,即空氣質(zhì)
4.cloudy。 For tonight,we expect partly
5.rainy。 It looks like it will be a mild, but rainy
Part B
6.independent learners。 First of all, successful language learners are independent learners,考生只要聽清了這一句就能作答??忌⒁獾氖瞧磳憽?BR> 7.pattern and rules。 Instead of...they try to find the pattern and rules for themselves,即這種類型的學習者不會等待老師來講解,而是自己試圖找出語言的模式和規(guī)則。
8.incorrect or incomplete。 When communication is difficult, they can accept information that is incorrect or incomplete,即這種類型的學習者在交流困難時,可以接受不正確的和不完整的信息。
9.Learn to think。 It is more important for them to learn to think...,
10.Learners with purpose。 Finally,
successful language learners are learners with purpose,即有目的的學習者。
Part C
11.[C]。 精明一點的考生根據(jù)試卷上給出的關于這一段對話的說明(…who met at the bus station)即可猜出答案。 I’m waiting for the number seven myself(我自己就是在等七路車)。
This is unusual for March,其中的this明顯就是指熱天氣。
It never comes exactly on the half-hour like it should,說明公共汽車應當每隔半個小時準點過一趟,故本題答案就是[C]。 I have twenty to one一處而誤選了[B]項。
15.[A]。 Marriage thrives on a give-and-take policy…。
16.[C]。 It is only after marriage that...begin to show,用強調(diào)句表明婚后才會出現(xiàn)文化差異,[C]只是表達不同。
17.[D]。 其最后三句中提到了leading eventuallv to a rift(最終導致分手)、lead to a big gap between the parents(導致父母間出現(xiàn)分歧)、their children may suffer a lot(孩子們受很多的苦),分別與前三個選項對應,故選ED]。
18.[B]。 The total value…was$68900 million in l998,考生應
Some in the metal industry…will not seriouslv change the
way they do business,即他們認為新技術對他們的經(jīng)營方式不會產(chǎn)生大的影響,選[C]。
20.[A]。 They think that only standard and second class products will be traded through the web。而由前面一句可知這里的They指的就是some(people)in the metal industrv(冶金行業(yè)的一些人),選[A]。
