He was on a dock in Fort Pierce when he watched a fellow angler reel in a strange creature, according to the Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission.
據(jù)佛羅里達野生動物保護委員會（FWC）消息，史蒂夫當(dāng)時正在匹爾斯堡的一個碼頭，突然看到一位同行漁夫釣上了一只奇怪的生物。
He told FWC that the catch, which looks like a shrimp, was about 18 inches long.
他告訴FWC工作人員，那是一只看上去很像蝦的生物，卻長達18英寸（約0.46米）。
FWC says scientists suspect it might be a mantis shrimp ... which it says is not related to shrimp but is a type of crustacean called a stomatopod.
FWC稱，科學(xué)家認(rèn)為這可能是一種螳螂蝦。螳螂蝦不屬于蝦，而是一種叫做口腳類動物的甲殼動物。
從此再也不敢嘲笑“蝦兵蟹將”了吧！
