SCMDP Program Description:
SCMDP is a unique talent development system, which provides experiences, challenges,
stretch opportunities, and career pathing for Undergraduate, Masters and entry level
professionals. The program’s purpose is to build and cultivate participant knowledge of
Eaton and SCM through broad experiences, which are highly supported by an
Assignment Manager mentoring process. Frequently, participants will be exposed to
business issues related to product, process, operations and business transactions
Essential Functions:
Assume a variety of responsibilities in SCM such as Diret and Indirect Sourcing,
Materials Management, Logistics, etc.; sample assignments as listed below
i. Conduct data analysis to support strategy execution and process optimization
(inbound & outbound, transportation, customs, etc)
ii. Assist Regional Logistic Manager to follow up the lead and direction of logistics
within the APAC, ensuring deployment of consistent, standard processes & tools
iii. Lead sourcing activities for business unit, including supplier identification &
screening, IRQ issuance, responses to inquiries, short list recommendation of quoted
suppliers
iv. Work closely with plant operation team, DC, commercial team and suppliers to
smooth demand/supply planning, inventory management and distribution;
b. Develop technical and leadership competencies through participation in multiple
training activities
c. Drive continuous improvement in existing processes and procedures, transfer best
practices from one location to another and be an advocate on strong internal control and
corporate governance
Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, SCM, Logistics engineering or other similar
majors;
Internship experience in SCM or manufacturing environment will be a plus advantage;
Leadership aptitude and a desire to build a career in SCM territory;
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to demonstrate managerial courage;
Fluent written and spoken Chinese and English;
Geographical flexibility and willingness to relocate within China.
