Lesson 79 Carol's shopping list need needn't 實義動詞/情態(tài)動詞 need 做實義動詞時,可以加s/ed needs/needed need 做情態(tài)動詞時,沒有時態(tài),人稱,數(shù)格的變化,可以直接加否定形式。不能單獨做謂語,后邊加動詞原形。 1 need to 動詞原形 -> need 是實義動詞 2 need 動詞原形 -> need 是情態(tài)動詞 I want an apple. The children need milk. 加 do/ don't 構(gòu)成否定或疑問形式。 The children don't need milk. Do the children need milk? What do the children need? What do you need? What does the girl need? What do we need? We need a lot of things. She needs a house. She doesn't need a house. Does she need a house? What does she need? 1 在肯定句中,need不可以象 I can go Home.中的can的用法一樣在肯定句中直接做情態(tài)動詞,而是做實義動詞。 I need to go Home. 在肯定句中,need后只跟動詞不定式,不跟動詞原形。 而在否定句和疑問句中,情況就不是這樣了。 I needn't study. (need 情態(tài)動詞) I don't need to study. (need 實義動詞) Need you study? (need 情態(tài)動詞) Do you need to study? (need 實義動詞) hope 可以做名詞或動詞 Where there is life, there is hope.[留得青山在,不怕沒柴燒。] hope 做動詞時,可用作: 1 hope to do sth. 2 hope that I hope to study abroad next year.
