語序調(diào)整法
1.由于英漢不同的造句結(jié)構(gòu)和表達(dá)習(xí)慣，翻譯時(shí)有時(shí)需要打破原來的句式結(jié)構(gòu)，對(duì)原文進(jìn)行結(jié)構(gòu)調(diào)整。
1. 疑問句、感嘆句和倒裝句的語序調(diào)整
他只字未說。
Not a word did he say.
這地方好可怕啊!
How dreadful is this place!
你昨天干什么了?
What did you do yesterday?
你介意我抽煙嗎?
Would you mind my smoking here?
2. 修飾語的語序調(diào)整
直到昨天我才知道他住院了。
I didn’t know that that he was hospitalized until yesterday.
我們必須清楚地了解牽涉到的問題。
We must get a clear understanding of the things concerned.
好的建議，誰來提都無關(guān)緊要。
If the suggestion is advisable, it is no matter who gives it.
他們沒有答復(fù)，這完全是意料之中的事。
They, not unexpectedly, did not respond.
他穿過馬路時(shí)，左顧右盼，害怕撞到過路的車子上。
While crossing the road, he looked right and left, afraid that he might run into some passing car.
3. 某些短語表達(dá)習(xí)慣不同的調(diào)整
老人也好，年輕人也好，都應(yīng)定期查體以便了解自身的健康情況。
People, young and old, should take physical examinations at regular intervals so as to know their own health.
不管晴天雨天，比賽準(zhǔn)時(shí)進(jìn)行。
Rain or shine, the match will go on time.
就是從太陽那里我們得到了光和熱。
It is from the sun that we get light and heat.
