Giant Panda

If farmers keep taking the land, giant pandas will have nowhere to live. Also, people hunt them for their fur. If this continues, then there will be no giant pandas in the wild.
We can take the following actions to protect giant pandas: make giant panda reserves bigger, build more reserves, write to newspapers and magazines to tell more people about the problems of giant pandas.

There is a lot of love around us. One day when I was playing football with my classmates on the playground, I fell down and hurt my legs badly. My classmates took me to the hospital at once. During my stay in bed, some of my classmates came to see me and helped me with my lessons. So I caught up with others soon after I came back to school and passed all the exams. I was so grateful. Love is giving and love is paying attention to others. Thanks to my classmates, I will do my best to give all my love to you.

Last week our class had a parents' meeting. At the meeting, all the parents talked about whether doing a lot of homework was useful or not. Many parents thought that doing much homework was useful. They thought by doing a lot of homework, the students could review what they had learned. It would also help to develop the students' minds and stop them playing computer games.
But a few parents thought that too much homework was useless. Because doing much homework took a lot of time and thus students could not have a good rest. What’s more, they could not do the things they liked.
In my opinion, doing some suitable homework is necessary and helpful.

The Ways for Reading
To read successfully requires correct ways of reading. Here are some suggestions:
1. Choose books which are neither too difficult nor too easy for you. If you find it's too hard to go on with the book, just put it aside for a moment and change for an easier one;
2. Choose books that not only interest you but also be good for you, for reading is not always for fun only;
3. Some books are to be read quickly, but some must be read slowly and carefully. Don't forget to take some notes whenever you feel it is necessary;
4. Don't be shy to ask questions. Anyone who knows more than you do can be your teacher;
5. Make good use of dictionaries, for dictionaries are your best teachers.

The summer holiday is coming. I'm going to have a good rest and learn to relax myself. I will read more useful books because reading more books is not only interesting but also can make me learn more knowledge. I will try to spend more time in chatting with my parents and help them to do some housework. I am going to take part in the social activities so that I can know more about the society. I'm sure I'll have an interesting and meaningful summer holiday.

What a Good Friend should be Like
Recently, we did a survey in our school on what a good friend should be like. About seven percent/Less than ten percent of the students prefer their friends to be beautiful or handsome. About forty-eight percent/Less than half/Nearly half of the students think that their friends should be hard-working and good at their lessons. Sixty-seven percent of the students hope their friends are fond of singing and dancing. and also they should be good at sports. Ninety-five percent/Almost all of the students agree that their friends should be not only lively, kind and helpful but also honest. Good friends should trust each other and share joys. I think to be honest is the most important of all.

My Low-carbon Life
My name is Li Ming. I am a middle school student. I go to school on foot every day. I always remember to turn off the lights, the TV and the fans when I leave the classroom. When I am not using water, I always turn off the tap. I often reuse water, for example, when I finish washing the clothes, I use the water to clean the floor and water flowers. I never use plastic bags. I think saving paper is necessary, so I often make full
use of paper. It's important for us to live a low-carbon life to protect the environment.

Nowadays, many children are very interested in computer games. This causes a lot of trouble.

It has been three years for us to study in this beautiful school. Our teachers always try to make their lessons lively and interesting. Doing Our Part
We have grown up and it's time for us to do something for our family and society.
At home, we should help our parents do the housework. They go to work during the daytime and they must be tired after a full day's work. We do the house in order to let them have a rest. We should also talk with them more, it can help us understand each other better.
In society, do not throw rubbish everywhere. We should throw it into the dustbin. It can make our environment more beautiful. Don't use plastic bags when going shopping. We’d better use shopping baskets. If we use them too often, it will become white pollution.
In a word, if each of us does our part from now on, our world will become a harmonious society.

Our Out-of-Class Activities
Our out-of-class activities are rich and colorful. We often go to the library to read different kinds of books. We learn a lot in this way. We also take part in all kinds of sports. They can help us keep healthy and strong. The most popular sport in our school is volleyball. I often play volleyball with my classmates. Sometimes we go outside school to learn the world. For example, we go to the countryside to study flowers and plants. Through these out-of-class activities, we learn a lot of things that we can't learn in class.

About fifty American students came to visit school today,
We gathered at the school gate at 8:00 to give them a warm welcome. Then we had a get-together in the reading-room in our library. Our headmaster told them something about our school. And then we talked with each other and exchanged gifts. From 9:30 we showed them around our school. They visited our classroom buildings, the factory run by our school, and the swimming pool. A friendly basketball game started on the sports ground at 10:30. At twelve o'clock all American students left our school.
In the afternoon my classmates and I went to bookshops. We chose and bought some books and tapes. I was busy but happy today.
