1、Software Engineer - Embedded Solution Development
【Responsibilities】
-Incubating cutting-edge total solutions for various embedded ecosystems such as Thin Client,
DVB STB, IPTV, IVI, Mobile Media Player...
-Develop and optimize Linux 2D/Display/OpenGL ES graphics drivers for x86/ARM platforms.
-Develop Linux & Android Multimedia middleware and applications for x86/ARM platforms.
【Requirements】
- B.S/M.S in Computer Science or related major.
- Solid C/C programming Skills
- Familiar with GNU cross-compile tool chain
- Understanding of Linux kernel internal is a plus
- Familiar with X-window is a plus
- Familiar with OpenGL and/or OpenGL ES is a plus.
- Familiar with one of Mpeg 2/4, WMV9/VC-1, H.264 decoding is a plus.
- Familiar with Android framework is a plus.
- Teamwork, good communication and programming habit.
2、 Software Engineer - Android and Linux Development
【Responsibilities】
- Develop various leading industry mobile initiatives solution and product to leverage VIA’s multimedia and graphics advantage，including Digital Signage Solution, Kiosk.
- Customize and fine-tuning Linux and Android System to meet embedded product requirement.
- Develop Linux and Android application on X86 and ARM platform.
- Coordinate with world-wide team to support and response for customer requirement.
【Requirements】
- Master degree in Computer Science and related.
- Solid C/C or Java programming skill.
- Familiar with Android programming and framework customized.
- Familiar with Linux programming and system customized.
- Familiar with multimedia programming is plus.

- Debugging complex graphics issues from top-down including applications, run-time, OS, driversand hardware.
- Work side by side with cross functional teams including hardware, architecture and system engineering team on solving performance bottleneck.

- Excellent C/C programming and debugging skills.
- Have a solid understanding of object-oriented concepts and methodologies
- Thorough knowledge of the Windows/Linux OS
- Familiar with Windows GUI programming and/or familiar with an application development framework on Linux, such as GTK or QT
- Relevant developing experience in Android is preferred.
