14. Salty Coffee 咸味咖啡
A boy invited a girl to have coffee with him at a party. He was too nervous to say anything, and she felt uncomfortable. 一個聚會上,有個男孩邀請一個女孩跟他一起喝咖啡。他太緊張了,一句話也說不出來,這讓她感覺很不舒服。
Suddenly he asked the waiter: “Would you please give me some salt? I’d like to put it in my coffee.” 突然,他問服務(wù)員:“請給我一些鹽,好嗎?我想把它放進(jìn)我的咖啡里?!?BR> She asked him curiously: “Why do you have this hobby?” 她很好奇,便問道:“你怎么會有這樣一個愛好?”
He replied: “Every time I have the salty coffee, I always think of my childhood, think of my hometown, I miss my hometown so much, I miss my parents who are still living there.” 他回答說:“我每次喝咸味咖啡時,總會想起我的童年,想起我的故鄉(xiāng),我太思念故鄉(xiāng)了,那里住著我的父母親,我非常想念他們。”
While saying that, tears filled his eyes. She was deeply touched. Then she also started to speak, spoke about her faraway hometown, her childhood, her family. Since I knew you, I never feel sorry for anything I do for you. Having you with me is my biggest happiness for my whole life.
