Amanda:Hi,David.I hear you moved out of your parents' house a few weeks ago.How is it?
David:Well,it's quite difficult finding the time to do all the housework.
A:Why?What did you do before?
D:I lived with my parents and my mother usually cooked and did the shopping.At the weekends though,I used to cook sometimes,but only if I had time.
A:Yes,but now you've got more freedom that before,haven't you?
D:What do you mean?
A:Well,you can go out and come back anytime,and friends can come and visit or you can have a party anytime,can't you?
D:Well,maybe.But now I share with two other flatmates.
A:What do they do?
D:They're also students.
A:So,no problem.They'd probably like to meet your friends and enjoy parties.That's why I like to live away from my parents.You can meet more people and can make more friends.
D:Yes,that's true,Amanda.But there is so much housework and things to pay for.TV licence,gas and electricity bills,and the house rent.
A:Yes,but it's good experience...practice for when you get married one day.
D:Urm.Maybe.So you really like living alone?
A:I did.
D:What do you mean,you "did"?
A:Well,now I'm living with my parents again.
D:Why's that?
A:I had to move because I hated cooking for myself,and I had no more money.
