She will practice how to be relaxed and how to talk toaudience between each songs. The boy also agrees with the school decision,because students who enjoy watch live shows are able to come to the performancefor free. He also mentioned that other music live shows hosted by bars/coffeeshop outside of campus need to charge cover fees.

    [閱讀]research rivalry affect,又稱(chēng)competitive rivalry,意思是:做對(duì)照實(shí)驗(yàn)時(shí),兩組被實(shí)驗(yàn)人員不能互相認(rèn)識(shí),否則會(huì)影響實(shí)驗(yàn)結(jié)果以致不準(zhǔn)。
    [聽(tīng)力]教授舉了個(gè)例子,說(shuō)有個(gè)生產(chǎn)energy bar的公司,做了個(gè)跑步試驗(yàn),有實(shí)驗(yàn)組和對(duì)照組。實(shí)驗(yàn)中有兩組跑步運(yùn)動(dòng)員,一組每天都吃energy bar, 另一組不吃。假設(shè)A組里的一人是B里一人的朋友,那么B組里的人就知道A組的人每天吃補(bǔ)藥而自己不吃,但是他們不想就這么輸?shù)?于是他們加強(qiáng)練習(xí),最后的結(jié)果是兩組人跑的都變快了,那么文章里對(duì)competitor的研究就無(wú)法證明了。這個(gè)實(shí)驗(yàn)就分不清楚這個(gè)energy bar是否有效。
    [閱讀]Give the definition of research group rivalry. Two groups in researchstudy: one is exposed to certain condition, while the other is not. The resultswill be compared to conclude. However if each of the group is aware of thedifference applied to them, they will start acting differently and therefore,research cannot reach to the conclusion.
    [聽(tīng)力] Professor talks about a specific example of research grouprivalry. He talks about a product called “energy bar”. Both of the groups areexposed to physical training for 4 month. In this process, one of the people ingroup 1 is friend of people in group 2.They start to realize one is giving barand the other is not. The group that is not given the energy bar started towork really hard, run faster to improve their data. Eventually, the resultsmight be different from the case when the groups are not aware of each other.
