6. Is there a view from there?
從那里有任何視野嗎？
一般人喜歡住的房子都是展望好，采光佳。像這些要求在英文里要怎么表達？首先“展望好”可以簡單地說，"Is there a view from there?"或是"Does it have a view?" 這個view就代表了“視野、展望”的意思。注意一下，受到母語干擾的關(guān)系，很多人會說成"Is there any view from there?"這里用any view是不對的，這里要用a view才行。大家應(yīng)該知道有部很有名的電影叫“窗外有藍天”吧！這部電影原來的名稱就是"A Room with a View."
至于采光的話我們可以用到natural light（自然光）或是sunlight（陽光）這兩個字。例如你可以問房東，"Does the apartment get much natural light?"或是"Does the room receive much sunlight?"意思都是問說“房子里采光好不好？”

有附家俱嗎？
在美國租房子前還有一個必須問清楚的就是這間房子是空屋租給還是有附家俱（furniture），有些公寓是所謂的furnished apartment，所以基本的家俱像是爐子、桌椅、床、柜子（closet）等等都有，當(dāng)你搬進去時只要帶一些簡單的行李就行啦！
注意因為furnished和furniture這兩個字很接近，所以有些人想到附家俱（furniture）的，就會直接在furniture后頭直接加成d 變成形容詞，變成了"It is furnitured." 這當(dāng)然是錯誤的，因為英文里根本沒有furnitured這個形容詞，只有furnished這個字。
8. I live on campus now but I plan to move to an apartment off-campus in six months .
我現(xiàn)在住在學(xué)校，但我打算在六月后搬進學(xué)校外的公寓。
當(dāng)我們說住在一棟公寓或是房子時，用的是in這個介系詞。例如live in a house, live in an apartment等。但是注意了，當(dāng)你說我住在“學(xué)?！睍r，不能說 "I live in school."，而是應(yīng)該說"I live on campus."或是"I live in school housing."，同理住在學(xué)校外也不應(yīng)該說，"I live out of school."，正確的講法是 "I live off campus." 基本上 on campus，和 off campus 都是固定的用法，不應(yīng)隨便改成其它字，大家應(yīng)該要記一下這樣的用法。
