    理由1:目前校車班次太少,如果錯(cuò)過(guò)上一班,下一班的等待時(shí)間太長(zhǎng),要二十多分鐘,她以前坐校車經(jīng)常遲到,所以只有開(kāi)車來(lái)學(xué)校;
    理由2:但現(xiàn)在汽油很貴,要花很多錢,這個(gè)計(jì)劃可以使她省很多錢(她有說(shuō),如果有選擇的話她一定不會(huì)自己開(kāi)車)。

【課文要點(diǎn)】:
    Eavesdropping:
    一些動(dòng)物在發(fā)現(xiàn)敵人后會(huì)發(fā)出警告,alarm warning voice, 這樣它的同類就能聽(tīng)到并及時(shí)逃跑,有趣的是有時(shí)會(huì)有another species也能聽(tīng)懂這種動(dòng)物的警報(bào),也能逃跑。
【教授舉例】:
    有一種猴子,發(fā)現(xiàn)敵人eagles時(shí),會(huì)發(fā)出特別的聲音來(lái)警告同伙,讓其他猴子run away, 不同的聲音代表不同的predators。同時(shí),有一種鳥hornbills經(jīng)常聽(tīng)到猴子的這種聲音,久而久之就能聽(tīng)懂是eagles來(lái)了,于是聽(tīng)到警告聲也fly away了。
Question: 用聽(tīng)力的例子來(lái)解釋monkey和hornbills在這個(gè)概念下的關(guān)系。
Question 5 【學(xué)生困難】:男生答應(yīng)下午5點(diǎn)要開(kāi)車送他朋友去上班,但他有個(gè)會(huì)議也是在5點(diǎn),時(shí)間沖突了。
    【解決方案】:兩個(gè)方案:
    方案1:打電話給他朋友,取消送他朋友。
    方案2:送朋友去上班后再去開(kāi)會(huì),但可能會(huì)遲到,boss會(huì)生氣。

Question 6 【講課要點(diǎn)】:Late 19th讀報(bào)紙的人比過(guò)去多的兩個(gè)原因:
    原因1:advance in technology, eg. better printing devises and faster printing process, so the amount of newspapers was increasing;
    原因2:publishers based their fund more heavily on the advertisements, so it cost people less money to buy newspapers.
