     一、Engineering-Refining
    Job Title: Refining Process Engineer
    Catogery: Engineering-Refining
    BU: BP China Refining
    Working Location: Beijing, China
    Role Objectives:
    To develop engineering skills and grow to become a competent process engineer;
    To participate/assist in process engineering tasks;
    To monitor, analyze and optimize key unit/process performance parameters;
    To propose innovative ideas and conduct plant tests;
    To understand the design requirements of Refining / Petrochemicals facilities.
    Key Accountabilities:
    1. Engineering Applications
    - To participate in/ assist to process engineering tasks;
    - To assist in performing economic evaluation of capital projects;
    - To design simple systems using manual and computer based calculations to develop equipment datasheets;
    2. Plant optimization / Troubleshooting
    - To develop process optimisation programs to maximise plant profits and efficiency;
    - To monitor/analyze unit performance and identify opportunities for improvements;
    - To provide assistance to Operation in trouble-shooting plant problems;
    - To propose and conduct plant tests to verify or demonstrate process/control/engineering improvement ideas;
    3. HSE
    - Actively participate in process safety activities and HAZOP / PHSSER reviews;
    - To report any unsafe condition, potential environmental problem, any opportunities and propose recommendation to improve in his/her work area based on his/her knowledge, experience and lesson learnt;
    4. Communication
    - Generate internal and external reports to share best practices;
    - Maintain contact with process engineering groups in BP Refining & Logistic Technology, Safety & Operational Risk;
    - Respect others as equals without consideration of positions or educational background.

    Job Title: Process Optimization Engineer
    Category: Engineering – Chemical Engineering and Process
    BU: A&A – Aromatics Asia
    Working Location: Zhuhai, China
    Business Context:
    BPZ joint venture (BP 85%, Zhuhai Port 15%), based in Zhuhai, Guangdong, China, manufactures and markets Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA). BPZ produces high quality PTA for the China market and uses BP’s the advanced X technology in PTA industry. The plant is the most advanced of its kind in China.
    BPZ’s HSE goals are “no accidents, no harm to people and no damage the environment”. There is a strong focus on developing staff HSE capability and competencies within the JV. BP’s HSE management practices and standards have been adopted by BPZ. The JV continues to develop a positive HSE culture, which focuses on promoting “every individual taking responsibility for safety at work”.
    BPZ consistently delivers a strong financial performance and has been profitable since its first full year of operation. The challenge ahead it to continue the development of BPZ as the lowest cost to supply PTA plant in China and making it one of the most competitively advantaged PTA sites in the world. BPZ is building its 3rd manufacturing facility and plan to start up in 2014.
    Key Accountabilities:
    1. To develop Plant Optimization skills through Engineering Applications:
    - To develop, design and implement improved process/ control strategies and innovative process optimization programs/methods to maximize plant efficiency and profits from short/long term perspective;
    - To set up state models or special engineering tools/software to perform plant optimization and/or engineering calculations;
    - Identify and promote options for major process development/improvements consistent with business strategies;
    - Provide full range of process engineering expertise/support to major plant modification capital projects through all its CVP stages; the responsibilities may include developing conceptual/ basic process package, providing detailed economic justifications and facilitating peer reviews.
    2. To lead trouble-shooting of Plant Problems:
    - Continuously optimize process conditions to maximize plant benefits, such as maximizing product volume and reducing consumptions thus variable costs;
    - To lead in investigation of plant process interruptions and drive for identification and removal of root causes;
    - To investigate complex plant problems or potential business loss and develop/propose procedures and process modifications to address/solve such problems.
    3. Technical expertise and support:
    - To provide advice on process engineering both internally and externally (within BP);
    - To support and assist peer engineers to improve plant operating results.
    - To introduce new and innovative processes/methods to improve plant results.
    4. To drive for HSE performance and continuous improvement:
    - To actively lead/participate in process safety and HAZOP reviews;
    - Following HSSE & O&S guidelines to review and develop safety related process/operation to meet group standards;
    - To report any unsafe condition, potential environmental problem, any opportunities and propose recommendation based on his/her knowledge, experience and lesson learnt.
    5. Communication:
    - To coordinate with other groups within BPZ and provide expertise/support to drive and ensure implementation of process improvement activities;
    - To network widely within and outside of BPZ to transfer best practices.
    Essential Criteria:
    1. Bachelor and above degree in Chemical engineering and process, or equivalent discipline;
    2. Good understanding/knowledge and intern working experience of chemical engineering processing;
    3. Outstanding process engineering knowledge and skill.

    1. Reliability and performance improvement:
    - To lead/facilitate root causes identification and develop improvement action for assigned equipment breakdown and maintenance issues related to own discipline;
    - To develop/review maintenance plan and maintenance procedure (SOP) for assigned specific equipment and maintenance activities;
    - To do troubleshooting under basic instruction/guideline and communicate with operation, maintenance etc relevant party for findings and propose solution to improve and keep smooth daily operation;
    - To participate and input to RCM etc reliability analysis study for specific electrical equipment to develop/optimize equipment specific maintenance program;
    - To propose to set up and optimize proper inventory level of spare parts;
    - To perform Bill of material setup In SAP;
    - To assist planning and procurement to optimize spare and other resources optimization.
    2. Execute assigned work order:
    - To organize and input to maintenance planner for tools, material and manpower etc resources integrate scheduling;
    - To execute the assigned work orders which includes routine inspection, repair, preventive maintenance, overhaul and plant turnaround activities, according to related maintenance procedures and Work Instruction and Electrical and Instrument team Leader’s instruction;
    - To train, coach and instruct BPZ maintenance contractor to develop their technical skill to perform maintenance task safely and effectively;
    - To coordinates with operators to hold routine Tool Box Meeting (TBM) to achieve a safe working environment;
    - To take correct and sufficient records on the designated formats for his assigned work by following work order process.
    3. QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment):
    - Model safety behavior in BPZ;
    - To supervise and ensure all contractors under his/her supervision strictly follow HSE regulation;
    - To review and identify to ensure all of job safety analysis for pre-defined maintenance procedure/activities are in place;
    - To report any unsafe condition, potential environmental problem, any opportunities to improve in his/her work area based on his/her knowledge, experience and lesson learnt;
    - To provide and ensure safe working condition in his/her working area.
    Essential Criteria:
    1. Bachelor degree or above, majored in Electrical Engineering, maintenance, or equivalent discipline;
    2. Technical Skills:
    - Good understanding in electrical equipment like Motor, VFD. Switchgear, MCC etc;
    - Basic application of repairing technique and tools used on above equipments’ maintenance. On some of the equipment might need instruction;
    - Knowledge on generic electrical maintenance, like motor bearing greasing and replacement, cable routing and sizing, IP code, Ex code etc. Being aware of advanced technology development in relevant area;
    - Knowledge on assurance of engineering integrity, like use of technical standard and assurance process, assessment and mitigation of risk;
    - Good understanding of maintenance system and process, like preventive and predictive maintenance, reliability centered maintenance; Basic application of root cause failure analysis;
    - Good understanding and working experience of maintenance work order process and computerized maintenance management system like SAP, or Maximo etc;
    3. Language skill:
    - Skilful English reading, writing, speaking; fluent mandarin speaking;
    4. Computer skill:
    - Familiar with Microsoft office is essential.
