Internship Job Description in Intel DCSG EPSD
The talented YOU is being invited to join Intel Datacenter and Connected System
s Group (DCSG), the Top 1 Intel core business, to deep-dive whats REALLY behi
nd those names familiar to you, e.g. Google, Facebook, Tencent, Baidu, Sina, et
c. You will grow together with DCSGs Enterprise Platform and Solution Divisio
n (EPSD) in China, enjoying a REAL experience of innovating, developing, testin
g and producing all kinds of real-life solutions (servers, systems, networks, B
IOS, firmware, software, virtualization, database, etc.) to REAL datacenter cus
tomers.
Job Location and Timing:
- Location: Zizhu Science Park, MinHang District, Shanghai (company provides free shuttle bus)
- Full time (5 days x 8 hrs) is preferred. At least 4 days x 8 hrs every week
- 1 year contract is preferred, but negotiable for shorter or longer duration
- Master in CS/EE or other related majors (graduate in 2014)
All of the interns hired this time are required to be:
- Fluent in written English, welling to work in pure English environment
- Good sense of responsibility, flexibility and teamwork
- Quick learning/self-learning
Job Description #1: Intern for Intel DCSG EPSD BIOS Evaluation
Job Responsibility:
Join Intel EPSD as part of the BIOS and Firmware Evaluation team.
In this team, you will
- Responsible for the test execution on server baseboard BIOS.
- Responsible for test case development of server baseboard BIOS.
- Working with other team members to verify, debug and investigate issues on Intel EPSD server products.
Qualifications:
- Familiar with PC architecture
- Knowledge of Software testing and test case development is a plus
- Knowledge of Linux kernel or device driver development is a plus
- Knowledge of BIOS, Firmware is a plus
- Good Assembly/C programming skills is a plus

Job Responsibility:
Join Intel EPSD as part of the BIOS and Firmware Evaluation team.
In this team, you will

In this team, you will
- Work on server management related firmware development.
- Working with other team members to debug and investigate issues on Intel EPSD server board products, create new features of server management firmware.
Qualifications:
- Solid skills on C programming language
- Knowledge of Linux kernel or device driver development is preferred
- Knowledge of ARM based embedded system development, familiar with GPIO, U-boot, sensors etc. is a plus
- Knowledge of server management protocols like IPMI/DCMI
- Network knowledge like IPv6/SNMP/SMTP/SSH is a plus

This job offers multiple opportunities, including but not be limited to:
- Innovate and implement next-decade Cloud, HPC, SMB, Storage, and Embedded s
olutions, integrating a full range of hardware, firmware, software, application
, and services.
- Investigate innovative software solutions for Cloud/HPC/SMB/Storage customers, to improve datacenters User Experience, Cost, and Functionality in all the areas of server deployment, configuration, management & control, maintenance, etc.
- Participate in professional verification, validation, test automation, debugging, and troubleshooting processes for the server platform and system solutions to Cloud, HPC, SMB (small and medium business), Storage, and Embedded customers.
- Participate in enterprise-classic control and management processes, such as asset management, lab qualification, procurement, and so on
Qualifications (not require all of them, but the more the better):
- ANYONE who is passionate, confident, and interested with any of above opportunities
- A post-graduate student in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or any other related majors will be prioritized
- Have experience in software UX (User eXperience) / UI design. Familiarity with classic media software (e.g. Photoshop*, MAYA*, 3DMax*, etc.) will be a good plus
- Linux/Unix expert and zealot is also highly preferred
- Programming experiences for C/C++, VBScript, BASH, Windows BAT, Java, etc. is also preferred
