微軟亞洲研究院是微軟公司在美國本土之外的基礎(chǔ)科研機(jī)構(gòu)，被美國技術(shù)雜志MIT 《Technology Review》譽(yù)為“世界上最火的計(jì)算機(jī)實(shí)驗(yàn)室”。 自1998年成立以來，啟動了面向亞太區(qū)高校博士生、碩士生和優(yōu)秀本科生的“明日之星”實(shí)習(xí)生項(xiàng)目。該項(xiàng)目由微軟亞洲研究院和國內(nèi)外高校共同執(zhí)行，旨在培養(yǎng)高素質(zhì)的計(jì)算機(jī)基礎(chǔ)研究人才。實(shí)習(xí)生進(jìn)入微軟亞洲研究院后深入到每個研究小組進(jìn)行為期三個月或更長時間的實(shí)習(xí)。截止至2011年9月，已有4000名來自亞太區(qū)高校的學(xué)生到微軟亞洲研究院實(shí)習(xí)，平均每年有400個實(shí)習(xí)機(jī)會開放給所有的學(xué)生。

Group: Hardware Computing Group

Work Location: Beijing
Group Overview
Push forward the state of the art in hardware computing to innovate in software services and to realize novel devices. Research fundamental computer architecture, identifies hardware opportunities in specific services, and builds integrated hardware/software solutions. Extrapolate hardware trends, study new interaction models, and construct working prototypes. The end goal is to deliver rich and responsive user experiences at work, at home, and on the move.
Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for proactive fresh young minds to working with us on embedded software development on realistic hardware platforms. Desired candidate should have good analytical skills with can-do attitude. If you are a good self-starter searching for the rewarding experience then we are looking for you.
Required Qualifications:
o Electrical Engineering or Computer Sciences Background
o Proficient at programming in C
o Experience in ARM Architecture Software Development
o Understand the OS Kernel and Device Driver Architecture
o Low-level device driver programming experience
o Hands-on experience at various lab equipment
o Excellent communication skill and able to working at a strong teamwork environment
o Requires your advisor’s approval and can commit at least 6 months as fulltime internship
