托福口語(yǔ)Task3、Task4實(shí)例賞析

廣大托友們都知道IBT口語(yǔ)的Integrated speaking部分又可以細(xì)分為L(zhǎng)istening-Reading-Speaking類型和Listening-Speaking類型。其中Task3和Task4是屬于Listening-Reading-Speaking類型,我今天拿來(lái)客戶的兩道Task3、Task4實(shí)例和大家一起分析一下,幫助大家一起面對(duì)并且解決Task3、Task4中常出現(xiàn)的問(wèn)題!
    Task3、Task4常見(jiàn)問(wèn)題:
    1、人稱的錯(cuò)誤使用。
    2、過(guò)渡詞或者信號(hào)詞的缺乏,使得整個(gè)陳述聽(tīng)起來(lái)沒(méi)有層次不明顯,在一定程度上影響了整體表達(dá)效果。
    3、很大程度上照搬聽(tīng)力材料中的原話!
    實(shí)例1
    Western university announces a new course in the practice of professional tutoring. The course combines a discussion class with practical experience in either the Math Center or the Writing Center. In the discussion class, students will explore tutoring theories, examine the role of the peer tutor, and develop effective tutoring practices. In their practical experience, students will observe peer tutoring and advance to supervised tutoring. Students who are considering graduate school in related fields will benefit from this course. Enrollment is limited to 40 and requires the signature of an academic adviser.
    I think the new course in practice professional tutoring is good for students who are considering graduate school. Firstly, the course combines discussion class with practical experience. Moreover, the students can learn how to teach and learn some practical theories about teaching and learning in the course. However, some universities don’t give teaching assistants much training. They just expect the teaching assistants know how to do it. So this course might be really useful for the teachers. And it might give you skills that could be useful later.

    1、人稱的錯(cuò)誤使用。Task3、Task4的題目要求通常如下:The woman/ man expresses her/ his opinion about something. State her/ his opinion and explain the reasons she/ he gives for holding that opinion.很多托友在對(duì)Task3、Task4的陳述中使用了第一人稱而非題目要求的第三人稱。這個(gè)問(wèn)題可大可小,因?yàn)檫@直接關(guān)系到你有沒(méi)有正確讀懂題目要求的關(guān)鍵問(wèn)題,所以大家一定要提高警覺(jué)了。
    2、W: So this course might be really useful for the teachers.
    R: So this course might be really useful for the students who want to the teaching assistant.
    說(shuō)明:這位托友對(duì)這句話的表達(dá)存在偷換概念的嫌疑,因?yàn)闊o(wú)論從閱讀材料中還是聽(tīng)力材料中都可以聽(tīng)出Training course for tutors是針對(duì)畢業(yè)后想從事teaching assistant而開(kāi)設(shè)的,所以這位女士才向其推薦。
    (3) W: And it might give you skills that could be useful later.
    R: And it will give them skills that could be useful later.
    說(shuō)明:人稱的使用誤差是這篇陳述的主要問(wèn)題,因?yàn)槭褂昧瞬煌娜朔Q后所傳遞的不同信息是大相徑庭的!
    (4)過(guò)渡詞的嚴(yán)重缺乏。過(guò)渡詞無(wú)論在口語(yǔ)表達(dá)中還是寫作中都起到至關(guān)重要的作用,套用一句廣告詞:地球人都知道!稍微有點(diǎn)夸張!Signal Words就象指明燈一些會(huì)帶領(lǐng)著聽(tīng)者跟著你的思路走,把握你說(shuō)話的重點(diǎn)!這段陳述中則沒(méi)有使用過(guò)渡詞,所以我在上面的Sample answer加入一些Signal Words,并且用黑色字體標(biāo)出。
