IBM® Systems Director is a platform management foundation that streamline
s the way you manage physical and virtual systems across a heterogeneous envir
onment. By using industry standards, IBM Systems Director supports multiple op
erating systems and virtualization technologies across IBM® and non-IBM&#
174; x86 platforms.
Working in the team, you will be able to be a part of IBMs cutting-edge tech
nology development with the collaboration with a global team consists of more
than 800 people.
You major responsibilities will be:
- Work with WW/local teams to develop IBM Systems Director plug-in.
- Work with WW/local teams to drive innovation during the full life cycle of d
evelopment.
- Responsible for the design, coding, unit testing, defect fixing, etc.
Requirements:
- Java or C programming skills, familiar with eclipse plug-in development is
a plus
- Good knowledge and experiences on OOP, OSGi, REST, multi-thread programming,
design patterns
- Knowledge and experience on Web programming, Dojo, JSON, Ajax is a good plus
- Multi-platform Linux/UNIX knowledge, shell script programming is a plus
- Understanding of large scale enterprise software engineering and development
process is a good plus
- Good communication skills. Independent, assertive, self-motivated, creative,
dynamic and open to new ideas.
- Good command of English, on reading, speaking and writing.

Job Description
Software/Build Engineer responsible for Software Builds of Platform Manageme
nt Products on various platforms. Platforms include but are not limited to AIX
, Linux (x, z, ppc), Windows and IBM i. This individual will work with both De
velopment and other Build Engineers to run,schedule, debug and release
builds during the development and production phases of multiple products. It
will require hands-on experience with various software platforms, Library Cont
rol Systems (CC, RTC), build tools (ANT, Maven etc), build frameworks (Hudson,
etc) and software languages (Java, Perl, Shell, etc) for performing automated
builds.
Job Requirements (skills/experiences)
Have basic knowledge in multiple operating systems(Linux,AIX) and cross plat
form environment
General understanding of the software development process
Strong Communication both written and oral in English
Familiar with Continuous Integration will be a big plus
Familiar with Java, Perl, Shell coding/scripting is plus
Familiar with source control tools (ClearCase, Rational Team Concert, etc.)
is plus
Familiar with build tools (Ant, Maven, Nmake, etc.) is plus
