Job Description:
EMC Documentum Search team is looking for an intern developer, with solid know
ledge and skill on Java and related frameworks/libraries. You will be working
with the global team to enhance enterprise search product. Various cutting-edg
e technologies are applied to the project, such as Spring 3.0, native XML data
base, Lucene full-text search, Natural Language Processing, SOAP/RESTful web s
ervices, and mobile computing. In your capacity, you will have an opportunity
working with world class architects. We promote a learning and innovative envi
ronment. This will be a great opportunity for Computer-Science background stud
ents to get hands-on experience on both enterprise software development proces
s and technologies.
Job Responsibilities:
Be part of a development team building enterprise content management and searc
h products
Work on bugfix and feature development to improve quality-of-search, administr
ation, and troubleshooting/diagnostic tools.
Sample job assignments:
• Test and enhance the web console to support new browsers
• Build client API for the RESTful service backend
• Develop search engine crawlers for file systems, wiki, web pages, bug
tracking system, etc
• Investigate alternative J2EE app servers: Jetty, Jboss 6/7, Spring tcS
erver
• Help managing Continuous Integration server: Hudson/Jenkis/TeamCity
Qualifications:
Required:
Strong hands-on experience in Java (or Ruby/Python/C#)
Fast learner with strong passion and self-motivation
Good English communication skills (both verbal and written)
Preferred:
Major in computer science, engineering or related discipline. Ideally 1st or 2
nd year in graduate, or 3rd/4th year in the undergraduate program
Understanding of XML technologies: XPath, DOM/SAX/StAX, JAXB, JAX-WS, JAX-RS
Familiar with any of followings will be a good plus: Lucene/Solr, GWT, Spring
framework, Hadoop, Tika, UIMA, Hudson/TeamCity
