Job description
You will be intern for mechanical engineer in the LaserJet printer development team
located in Shanghai. The primary skills will center on product design,
qualification, and
coordination with part and mechanism vendors.
Primary responsibilities will include:
1. Support the development of printer electrical/mechanical systems including
scanners assemblies, automatic document feeders, and control panels, as
examples. This will include designing of plastic part and sheet metal parts, as
well as, coordination of geographic cross-functional issues.
2. Implement the mechanical design corporate Industrial Design initiatives.
3. Assist in the development and execution of margin and specification test plans
during development.
4. Investigate and provide countermeasures for mechanically induced image artifacts
and other system margin and functionality deficiencies.
Qualifications
Essential skills include strong teamwork within both technical and non-technical
communities; working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerances; as well as,
product development documentation practices.
Must:
1. Undergraduates for Bachelor degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or
related.
2. Plastic/sheet metal design experience.
3. Strong CAD/CAM modeling skills.
4. Strong problem solving skills.
Desired:
1. Background in image scanning fundamentals.
2. Experience with component and material costing tradeoffs
3. Tooling and tool design background.
4. Design for manufacturing principles.
5. Good communication skills in Mandarin and English.
