The China Manufacturing and Sourcing (CMS) began operations in Aug 2003 as a footprint of Schlumberger in Shanghai China. Today Schlumberger is achieving the mission in Shanghai through two operations: Qingpu Product Center (QPC) and Asia Global Sourcing (AGS).
QPC was founded in August, 2005 and employees more than 400 people. It’s an expanding Engineering and Manufacturing center located in the Export Processing Zone of Qingpu, situated west of Shanghai. Today QPC is running two machining production units over 10,000 square meters, and supplies world-class oilfield equipment and tools to oilfield services worldwide.
Asia Global Sourcing (AGS) functions as a dedicated supply chain office that leads sourcing and procurement initiatives for EMS globally. In 2004, the China Global Sourcing was established in Pudong Shanghai. In 2009, the Asia Global Sourcing was established after consolidation of global sourcing in China, Singapore and India.
