Department Overview
Storage and Availability Management Group (SAMG) focuses on providing enterpr
ise and large enterprise customers with storage and server management, data p
rotection, and application performance management solutions across heterogene
ous storage and server platforms. Key products in the Storage and Availabili
ty Management Group include Veritas Storage Foundation, Veritas Operations Ma
nager and Application HA product lines. Each of these solutions is available
across all major UNIX, Linux and Windows operating systems, enabling IT organ
izations to reduce cost and complexity through standardization on storage and
availability management solutions from Symantec.
Responsibility
• Be responsible for SORT development and testing. SORT is a web site f
ulfilling concept of Software as a Service.
• Be responsible for performing software development and testing with S
torage Foundation and Storage Management products/suites/solution on Unix pla
tforms. And following up incidents, developing and automating test cases to c
over new features and regression areas.
• Be involved in testing system installation/configuration including OS
, products, Database as well as disk array.
Qualifications
• Solid knowledge in Linux, Unix, Database.
• Solid knowledge in C/C , Perl, Shell script.
• experience in SAN network, and array storage skill(Storage virtualiza
tion, multi-pathing, RAID, etc).
• experience in high availability, file system and volume manager softw
are is a plus
• Self-motivated, quick learner, team worker.
• Good English in reading and writing, fluent oral English is definitel
y a huge plus
