PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
    SAP Business Objects Information Management (IM) products provide a scalable enterprise-level data integration platform (Data Services), Metadata Management (BOMM) with trusted data and analysis capabilities, and Information Steward, a single environment to discover, assess, define, monitor, and improve your enterprise data asset. IM Quality Assurance team is seeking for a passionate quality assurance engineer who can be part of a high-performing team essential to the quality and timely delivery of our products.
    EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
     Collaborate closely with development engineering testing IM products through entire product release cycle.
     Strong technical knowledge in testing methodologies, design and implementation, with some experience in automation methodologies.
     Design and develop project test plans/specifications, testing strategy and test cases including functional, integration, performance, stress/volume testing.
     Develop, execute and maintain manual and automated test procedures to deliver highest quality products.
     Configure and maintain the hardware and software on various Windows and UNIX testing environments.
     Analyze test failure and narrow down area of problem
     Assure product quality with thorough test coverage justified by well-defined tools/metrics.
     Report, track, and manage defect resolution to the closure.
     Communicate plan, progress, and issues in a timely manner.
     Participate in defining automation test objectives, strategies, infrastructure and standards
     in and reviews results of manual test case creation and execution to define areas for further automation or improvement.
     Actively contribute to ongoing process improvement.
    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
     Minimum Bachelor degree in Computer Science, EECS or foreign degree equivalent.
     Knowledgeable in operating Windows and/or Unix development environments (e.g. Solaris, Linux, AIX)
     Knowledgeable with RDBMS such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Informix; ODBC interfaces.
     Knowledge in Java, XML is a must.
     Strong trouble shooting capability for failure analysis
     Familiarity software lifecycles and methodologies
     Strong project planning and time management.
     Good verbal/written English communication skill.
     Strong context switching ability to work in multi-tasking environment
     Ability to self-learn and act on own initiative while applying knowledge effectively.
     Willing to work with remote team in different time zone.
     Must be methodical and detail-oriented, well organized, have a thorough approach to problem solving and a team-oriented work ethic
    WORK EXPERIENCE
     Minimum of 2 years of professional experience
     Data Integration (ETL) knowledge or Data Warehousing concept is a plus
     Experience working in a distributed computing environment (databases, distributed processing, clustering technologies)
     Familiarity with code profilers, code coverage and memory leak analysis tools
     Knowledge of Data Quality such as address cleanse, data cleanse, and match
     Experience in Windows MFC and SDK is a plus.
     Experience in white box testing on Java code with JTest or JUnit is a plus
     Knowledge in GUI industrial automation tools
     Ability to train and support end users is a plus
